Thoughts on trailer

 

The trailer left me with a similar feeling as the promo shots except now bad acting can be added to my list of criticism. That did not come as a surprise though, I'm quite prepared for it. When the Rose Cross witches started groping themselves it seemed like the cast and crew were just playing with the material and not intending it as shooting to be used in the actual movie. But who knows.

Not just tats but a ring? This college student is married?

At this point I'm only watching this for the tits anyway. Silicone boobs isn't any more fake than drawn cartoon breasts anyway, but part of the (imaginary) appeal of a live-action take on Bible Black, at least to me, would be more genuine girls you could associate with both the animated characters as well as those you went to high school or college with. Or Japanese girls, to be consistent with the original setting and the characters names.

 

This actress appeared in the promo shots as Imari, so are they simply reusing the actresses for the witch group? Imari is the last girl that should have fake boobs. She doesn't have many sex scenes anyway. I wonder if the blonde actress above is Shiraki? Probably the old-looking one with the sword will play Saeki then... At least Kitami looks okay, but her voice is too light and soft.

This chick is the only cute one so far, I would prefer her to play Imari out of these actresses but I guess she will play multiple small roles like Ito and Yukiko, Jun or Maki using various wigs. At least there should be one more actress involved, someone to play Miss Takashiro. Let's hope they do not make her look too old or ridiculous with a too-fake-looking red wig.

Work on Bible Black: The Movie has still not begun. The latest comment by
Fever Dreams is:

"Still not sure yet [when the movie will be out] but we are looking at starting [production] soon."

Most popular scene in Bible Black

So, while searching around for Bible Black info, I came across forum threads where people talked about their favorite sex scene in Bible Black: La Noche de Walpurgis. While many scenes were brought up (which is not surprising considering how many great ones there are) there were 3 scenes that easily seemed to be the most popular with the audience. While neither of these are in my own top 3, it does seem like the more simple "one-on-one" scenes are more popular. Do you think the live-action movie will be able to do justice to these scenes?


3. Kitami and Ito

The third most popular scene is none other than the very first sex scene in the anime. The scene is generally regarded highly because it is the first sex scene, and also the series' first trademark "futanari" (dick-girl) scene, which attracts a certain niche crowd to Bible Black. It is also a huge turn-on how into it the girl (Ito) is. Despite it being the only scene to feature Ito in the original anime, this one scene managed to establish her as the infamous hot "bunny ears girl" that probably made quite a few young males cum before they even got past the opening part and onto the story. The fact that not everyone watched the whole episode - or the rest of the series for that matter - is probably a big reason why this scene is one of the most popular. Put simply, it is memorable and one people are guaranteed to catch if they pick up the series.

2. Minase and Takashiro

The second most popular scene is when the beautiful teacher, Miss Takashiro, is "spending the night together" with the series' protagonist, Minase, as they both make love in Minase's bedroom, twice. The first night, after both are exhausted from the latest turn of events, there is some good lovin' as they look into each others eyes before they come together and he pulls out and blows his load on her face. The most popular scene in all of Bible Black is the scene at the end of episode 1 when Saeki is "servicing" the info about the book out of Minase by giving him oral and a titty-fuck. The infamous "blowjob" and "that blonde who pleasures Minase with her boobs" is one of the most cited favorite scenes in the series. Most likely it made it to the top for similar reasons as the Ito x Kitami scene: it appears in the very first episode - and a number of watchers aren't going to go past the first one. It is, however, a nice scene and one the live-action movie director would likely jump at the chance to put in the film. But which version of the climax will they chose: Minase blowing his load in her face or Saeki doing Minase with her finger to make him cum prematurely?

Movie to be shot later this year?

According to Fever Dreams on Facebook, there exists a trailer for Bible Black: The Movie, although the movie has not been shot yet. How there can be a trailer without footage I don't know, but perhaps some brief film was shot during the promo photography in 2010.

Fever Dreams says that "movie will be shot later this year."

Jackie Cerniglia, photographer on Bible Black: The Movie, has promo shots posted on her Facebook page. Although they were taken a while back (2010 I think), they reveal pretty much what most skeptical Bible Black fans dreaded: a cheap and typical porno version of Bible Black.

The costumes look like Cosplay - complete with ugly wigs - and actresses look like your average pornstars; shaved, tattooed, with fake tits, and nowhere near the character's intended age. Minase in particular looks like an old Brittish dude and not someone who's in High School or College.

The pictures speak for themselves, but the ones I've used here are actually the better looking pics. The sets look cheap, and the costumes, particularly the robes, look like they were shopped at some Halloween store. They don't even look like the ones from Bible Black and are so short they don't even go down to their feet. They also changed the Star of David to a stereotypical up-side-down pentagram on the book and the ritual drawing.

While I was intrigued by the original poster, my interest in the movie has definitely dropped in light of this new exposed material. It's too bad because the other movies by Fever Dreams looked more professional, stylish, and even had Japanese actresses appearing in some of them.

One can hope that the movie has been improved since 2010, and that some actors have lost interest or been replaced. But since all of them look terrible anyway it won't change much (and they don't look like the kind of actors who's got something better to work on).

And some characters, like Shiraki, look more like the actress would be more suitable playing Saeki. It looks like they're not even getting the characters personalities right. I bet the producers of this only watched the dubbed Anime and are basing the whole thing on that. They've probably not even touched the fantastic game.

I will still keep following this though, as there's no other Bible Black product in the works. But it will be with less enthusiasm than before.

Bible Black: The Movie to be released next year?

Fever Dreams's Wikipedia page has Bible Black: The Movie listed as a 2013 title:

Since it was said by Fever Dreams on Facebook that a trailer was going to appear in early 2012 it is likely that the movie has been delayed (again). The first news of a Bible Black Live-Action Movie appeared in Januari 2010 when Media Blasters were supposedly already working on a trailer.

According to Jackie Cerniglia there were set backs because the studio got flooded. But the movie is still going to be made.
